Started in 1941 as a family-run workshop in New York City, pioneers in the leather goods and accessories space, and established as the original American house of leather during the second half of the 20th Century. Today their product is available on five continents in over 1,000 directly operated stores worldwide and many more in collaboration with global wholesale and distributor partners.

This organization needed better analysis of its manufacturing, models, distribution, and global sales of its products. They wanted their business analysts to be able to produce reports and predict demand of their products worldwide, by market and segment. The data they work with is very large. They have analytical skill sets on staff that can use graphical user interfaces and are not coders. A better understanding of their product demand will help them target specific designs to certain markets and increase sales.

Destiny designed a combination environment that offered both Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) on their data along with a graphical user interface (GUI) software package that offers both client and server based processing, along with proper intelligences for push down, in-database processing. The analyst can concentrate on the data analysis and predictive statistics without the need for coding. Destiny installed their server software environment and also trained them in the use of the systems with custom classes for the GUI software and in-database MPP processing.

The business analysts are now self-sufficient with their use of the environment. They can analyze large amounts of data loaded into the MPP appliance and produce historical and predictive reports without the need for IT involvement.
